Privacy Policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
This privacy policy explains what information Tilly Tumbletoes Books ("we", "us"), made by G&N, collects when you visit this website, which cookies and tools we use, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
This site is for grown-ups
Our books are for children, but this website is for parents, caregivers and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). Our sign-up and contact forms ask you to confirm you're an adult and to leave out details about your child. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Here is where cookies can come up on this site:
- Our own site: we don't set any cookies today. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Hosting and security: our host, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from bots and abuse. It doesn't track you across websites.
- Analytics: our analytics tool is cookieless (see below).
- Meta Pixel (coming soon): this will use cookies. See the Meta Pixel section below.
- Amazon: when you click through to Amazon, Amazon sets its own cookies on its own website (see "Links to Amazon").
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site works without them.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint your device, doesn't track you across sites and doesn't collect personal information. We only see totals, such as page views and the countries and browsers visitors use.
Meta Pixel (coming soon)
We plan to add the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It is not active on this site yet. Once it is, it will help us see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead people to this site, and show our ads to people who have visited it.
When the Meta Pixel is active:
- it will use cookies and similar technology to record visits and actions on this site, such as which pages you view and whether you click through to Amazon;
- that information, along with technical details such as your IP address and browser, will be sent to Meta and handled under Meta's Privacy Policy;
- where the law requires it (for example in the EU and UK), we will ask for your consent before the Pixel loads, and you can change your mind at any time;
- you can also control ads based on your activity in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
We will update this policy and the date at the top of this page before the Meta Pixel goes live.
Links to Amazon
Our books are sold on Amazon, and our "Buy on Amazon" buttons take you to Amazon.com. Those buttons are Amazon Associates affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure). As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
You always choose to click: we never redirect you to Amazon automatically. Once you're on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy notice and cookie policy apply, and Amazon uses cookies to record that you arrived from our site so it can credit the referral. We never see what you buy, your Amazon account or your payment details.
Forms and email
- Newsletter ("new letter alerts"): if you sign up, we collect your email address only. It is stored by our email provider (Kit, formerly ConvertKit, or MailerLite) so we can tell you about new Tilly books. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Contact form: if you send a message, we receive your name, email, topic and message through Formspree, a form-handling service, so we can reply.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we never ask for your child's name, age, photo or other personal details.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
How long we keep information
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, and contact messages only as long as we need them to help you. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email, and block cookies in your browser. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to its use for advertising. To make a request, use our contact form.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
